Karen joined the firm’s audit staff in July 2018. Karen graduated from Abertay University in Scotland. She moved to Houston in 2003 and was company administrator at 2 other companies prior to joining TPS Thayer. Karen’s responsibilities focus on performing audit and preparing reports for public and private companies.

Thomas brings 45 years of public accounting experience to the TPS Thayer tax team. His career began with a small local public accounting firm in 1974 and evolved into the ownership of a local CPA firm in North Alabama. After merging his practice with another local firm, Thomas and his partners created the largest local firm in that area. Thomas has worked with various industries, including medical, legal, small retail establishments, oil and gas activities, construction, engineering, and agricultural interests. He has also spent a great deal of time working with real estate investors and developers. Thomas recently developed an interest in the accounting and taxation of agricultural activities, primarily livestock breeding.
